Who should I start for week 13? Fantasy Football Outlook for Rhamondre Stevenson, Jordan Addison

Making the right starting and sitting decisions with players who struggle with consistency is a struggle in itself. And every season in fantasy football, there are a lot of fantasy options that are very inconsistent.

Delving into the reasons for their inconsistency and the matchups they face can give you insight into whether to put them in your lineups or leave them on the bench.

Let’s delve into three inconsistent players and do just that.

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson seems to alternate between having big games and getting suspended. It makes it hard to know when to start with him. The biggest culprit for this unpredictability is the Pats’ offensive line. It’s the worst in the NFL this year.

They often get virtually no push. It is an ugly sight to behold. Still, New England will face the Indianapolis Colts’ weak run defense in Week 13, so Stevenson is worth starting as an RB3/flex or RB2 in deeper leagues. He is a good back with a good touchdown up and does well when given enough volume.

Addison and the Vikings will face the Arizona Cardinals this week. He caught eight of his nine targets for 162 yards and a touchdown last game, putting up monster numbers while his counterpart, WR Justin Jefferson, confusingly only caught two of five targets for 27 yards.

There is no way Addy takes over as WR1. The Chicago Bears, Minny’s Week 12 opponent, covered Jefferson and attempted to shut him down. The Cardinals probably won’t be able to do the same. Sometimes, however, there is enough work for both.

He’s a nice WR3/flex starter in leagues with 12 or more teams, but you’re taking a significant risk. He drops dud games with regularity. In non-PPR leagues he has better upside.
