“What we’ve started doing is staying up late on Christmas Eve, not too late,” he begins, adding that “the kids can’t sleep” because they’re too excited. “It’s hard to try to force them to go to bed when they can’t, like, okay, let’s stay up.”

While they’re up waiting for Santa to arrive, “We’ll watch a Christmas movie and then they’ll pass out and then we’ll all get ready for Santa,” Johnson explains. “And that’s the exciting part, man. So fun.”

“What we’re going to do is we leave out the cookies that they made and their notes and you also have to leave out the oats and carrots and stuff for all the reindeer when they come,” he says, noting that the fun doesn’t stop there.

“It’s crazy because in the morning – when you have kids, it’s like when you were a kid. The reindeer, they eat all the food,” he shares excitedly, referring to being treated to the cookies and carrots. “That’s awesome, man.”

Earlier this week, the proud father told E! News about his experience bringing Jasmine and Tiana on the set of Moana 2 to voice two characters and what it was like to see their reactions when they heard their cameo for the first time in the cinema.

“They loved it,” he told the outlet. “Loved, loved it. They hadn’t seen it before. They knew they were in it, and they were on the edge of their seats, literally, just waiting.”

Their sweet reaction was well worth the wait, Johnson noted. “Their scene came up, and they’re just like, ‘That’s me!’ ” he recalled. “It was so cool.”

“That’s the good thing about fame,” he added, joking, “and nepotism.”
