Namo Bharat is training to drive two hours early tomorrow for Bhai Dooj

The Namo Bharat train service will start two hours ahead of its regular time on Sunday on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) said in a statement.

The transport company said the trains, which run along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, will run from 6 am on Sunday as against the 8 am start time. Notably, Namo Bharat trains run from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm from Monday to Saturday, while operations begin at 8 am on Sunday.

“To meet the expected increase in passenger numbers during the Bhai Dooj celebrations, trains will run with increased frequency throughout the day. This proactive measure aims to deliver a comfortable and speedy travel experience, helping passengers reach their destinations smoothly and hassle-free during the festivities period,” it said.

The Namo Bharat trains started plying the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor a year ago and have so far accommodated over 40 lakh passengers. The trains are in operation on a 42 kilometer stretch spanning nine stations from Sahibabad to Meerut South.
