Why were Bishop Kiengei and Dama trendy?

Rumors had started that a lady named Dama, who was a member of Kiengei’s JCM Church, was the bishop’s concubine, but he ignored the claims, stated that he had only one wife.

Afterwards, in September, the JCM founder trended for weeks after his ex-friends spilled beans on his alleged controversial personality. A US-based YouTuber, Wairimu Kimani, was accused of leaking negative audio about Kiengei.

In the audio, Wairimu is said to have spoken to a woman identified as Damaris about her alleged relationship with Kiengei, his wife and the car he drives. Dama, who was the matron at the JCM church, then stopped attending the church and raised her eyebrows.

On Sunday, October 27, while preaching in his church, the man of God recalled the latest scandal that hit him hard.

The father of three said he went through a difficult time and fought bravely. He told how his friends went to check on him, thinking he was depressed, only to find he was fine, and he even managed to do his daily radio shows.

Kiengei also admitted that during the tough period he was always judged by people. He explained how people would react when he went out with or without his friends.

“When you leave (your spouse) behind, they have to notice it, when you start carrying them with them, it also becomes a problem… People are just the same… We are dealing with ungrateful people,” he said.

In another article, TUKO.co.ke reported it Turn Joy Kiengei took to the pulpit to tell bloggers, whom she called rumor mongers, after her husband raised cheating allegations.

The mother of two revealed that she married Kiengei when she was around 20 or 21, and her parents counseled her about her marriage.

The preacher’s wife clearly stated that she would not leave his marriage because of rumours.
